It’s always Thursday until August. I’m a teacher, with a new assignment next year (not a chosen assignment, but I’m embracing it), so I not only have to get a new certification (30 credits in 2 years), but also have to redesign my classroom and several curriculum over the summer. I’ve been putting in 40+ all summer and don’t see that changing soon. All part of the gig, however… during summer, days mean nothing, but it’s not for lack of necessary tasks.
Um. I am scheduled to work today, off tomorrow, but we’re planning to drive to my parents’ place tonight so the dogs don’t have to be driven insane by fireworks. However, somebody stole my wife’s van a couple of days ago so I have to do a rush brake job on my car so it’s safe to drive.
I went with the sorta Thursday sorta Friday answer. I’ll probably have to bring my laptop with so I can get some work done at night because of the urgency of the brake job

My daughter is a teacher, as was my wife. The concept that they have “summers off” is obviously overblown.

Since I work Thursday-Sunday. Today is my Monday.
It’s Saturday because I took a day off to get a 4 day weekend

It’s Thursday because it’s Thursday. I’m primary caregiver to my kids so I can’t be “off,” ever.
